WHAT IS DESERT ISLAND HANDS?

Desert Island Hands is the Bridge equivalent of the BBC Radio programme Desert Island Discs. There are some differences of course - I couldn't get Sue Lawley to be the host, for example. Also, it's communicated using a web site rather than via the Radio, and we are only looking at the Oxfordshire Bridge scene, rather than the whole World.
In addition, the guest chooses just a couple of Bridge hands (rather than 8 records, a book and a luxury item), to entertain them on their Desert Island. So as you can see, apart from the fact that it is completely different, it is just like Desert Island Discs!

Each guest is asked to provide two hands from their bridge career - one Triumph, and one Disaster (hence the quotation).

Now go back, and learn more about the people you play Bridge against!
